Unit Responsibilities


 

Provides audit and validation of all faculty and/or academic-related employment transactions with respect to established University and CSU guidelines, practices, policy and collective Bargaining Agreements. Assists College and Department and other University units who employee faculty by providing training, data and interpretation and application of academic personnel policy. Provides functional direction and input to the development and design of HRMS employee transaction systems (E-TRAC); Provides demographic, historical and ad-hoc reporting on all university employment-related data.

 

Maintains the University HRMS data; establishes transaction guidelines and instructions for HRMS/E-TRAC processing. Maintains the official personnel file for Faculty and Instructional Student Employees.

 

Processes all faculty and/or academic-related employment transactions that are completed and approved at the college and/or department levels. Provides validated source documentation to Payroll for entry into the State Controller's system; drafts and creates all faculty and academic-related employment and offer/notification letters.
