University Departments

University Departments hosting special events on campus should first contact the following individuals depending on the location of the event.

  • Seven Hills Conference Center: Jim Raney at (415) 405-5220
  • Cesar Chavez Student Center: Aimee Barnes at (415) 338-2820
  • Classrooms, athletic fields, and other University facilities: Dania Russell at (415) 405-8023

When a University Department requires a Special Events insurance purchase, Jim Raney and Dania Russell will direct the University department event organizers to Dao Van in Risk Management at (415) 338-2691.

Insurance for events held exclusively in the Cesar Chavez Student Center may be purchased through Aimee Barnes, Assistant Director, Program Services at (415) 338-2820; email:abarnes@sfsu.edu or Mark Jaramilla, Meeting & Events Coordinator at (415) 338-2416; email: markj@sfsucenter.com .

Required Certificates of Insurance must be received and paid prior to the commencement of any scheduled event.
