The CSU and University policy require University departments, student organizations, and others that use campus facilities for special events obtain appropriate special events insurance to reasonably protect the University from risk exposures.
The University must receive a Certificate of Insurance prior to the commencement of any work and/or scheduled activity or event.
Types and amounts of coverage have been established by the University for all parties to show evidence of satisfactory insurance coverage. Details of the CSU’s insurance requirements are provided in CSU Executive Order 849 – CSU Insurance requirements.
