Located on-campus across from the Residence Halls, the STTC houses 100 students in double occupancy rooms with private bathrooms.
The Science & Technology Theme Community is designed to make the transition to college life easier for
students interested in the science and engineering fields.
The STTC provides a "small college experience approach to first-year students."
In addition to the full support of SF State Residential Life program, STTC residents will have:
Each room is fully furnished with a bed, chair, closet space, and desk for each resident
Broadband Ethernet connections for each resident
Intranet network exclusive to STTC residents
On-site computer lab and classroom space
Live-in graduate assistant to provide academic support
Two live-in resident assistants
Access to Science and Engineering Faculty in the form of weekly faculty dinners, discussion sessions and programs held in the residential community
A choice of three meal plans 10, 15, or 19 meals a week is required at the City Eats Dining Center
The STTC is open to students under 20 years of age. Priority is given to students who are majoring in computer science, biology,
mathematics, geosciences, chemistry, engineering or technology-oriented areas such as industrial arts,
information systems and broadcast and electronic telecommunication arts. Undeclared students,
who would like to explore any of these majors, are also encouraged to apply for the STTC.
