The San Francisco State University Business Learning Community is one of several on-campus Residential Learning
Communities which offer living/learning programs to SF State residents. The Business Learning Community is designed to
accommodate 118 Business students who wish to live and study together.
The Business Learning program places you in the same Towers at Centennial Square building as other students in the program.
You automatically have roommates to study with, help get to classes in the morning, and collaborate on assignments.
Residential Life staff members provide study sessions to assist in academic success and fun activities to give
students a mental break from hitting the books. It's a great way to learn and to meet people.
The Business Learning Community or “Business Matters” is designed for residents who have decided to major or minor
in business or are considering doing so.
What:
The Business Learning Community is designed to assist students acclimate to the university through academic, college based,
social and residential connections.
Where:
The Business Learning Community is located in the Towers at Centennial Square.
Why:
Studies have shown students who participate in Learning Community programs have better potential for success academically,
are more knowledgeable about their college department and campus and finally, have the opportunity for more social interactions.
Really, it's because it is fun!
How:
To apply for the Business Learning Community, students use the application form, available online.
Future residents are assigned to the Business Learning Community, based on availability,
first come first served based on application date.
The Catch:
There are only 118 spaces available, it is recommended to apply early!
