The Housing Fee Schedule is available online here and in Part 2 "Payment Information and Schedule" of your License Agreement. Select the community and meal plan to determine your monthly payment amount.
When making a payment by mail or in person, refer to the Housing Fee Schedule to determine the correct amount and complete the Installment Payment Form There are three ways you can pay your housing installments:
1) Mail or drop your payment with the Installment Payment Form to the housing office and make sure it is received by the first of every month. The payment becomes late on the third business day of the month at 5:00 p.m. The late fee is $20.00.
2) Use the Drop Off Box located at the front of the housing office. It is available during and after business hours. Please make sure it is received by the first of every month. The payment becomes late on the third business day of the month at 5:00 p.m. The late fee is $20.00.
The University will deduct tuition fees first from each semester’s financial aid disbursement.
Residents who are receiving Financial Aid to pay for housing fees must make sure there is enough financial
aid funds to cover their housing cost reflected on the Academic Year Fee Payment Schedule.
The financial aid office will attempt to deduct four (4) payments (Sept. Oct. Nov. & Dec.)
during the fall disbursement and four (4) payments (Jan. Feb. Mar. Apr.) during the spring disbursement.
If you know your financial aid money will be disbursed later than October 1 for any reason, you must request and complete the
Pending Financial Aid Disbursement Form at the Housing Business Office.
You will need to provide the pending disbursement award type(s) such as federal Pell Grant, Cal Grant, scholarships,
federal subsidized, unsubsidized, parent PLUS loan and/or private loan and the anticipated disbursement date.
After ALL your financial aid has been disbursed and you still have an outstanding housing obligation,
you must pay the outstanding balance owed to the University Housing office directly.
You can pay at Mary Ward Hall Housing Business Office or the University Bursar’s Office.
You should first DOUBLE check with the financial aid office to make sure ALL your financial aid has disbursed.
Housing residents can check their financial statement at MySFSU (http://www.sfsu.edu/student)
by using their (PAC) Personal Access Code or by calling the Bursar’s Office at 415.338.1181.
Residents may schedule an appointment with the Coordinator of Resident Financial Servicesto discuss their financial
situation and request to make payment arrangements. Residents should meet with the Coordinator prior to their payment due date to avoid
a late fee. Stop by the Housing Business Office in Mary Ward Hall to make an appointment.
