Reasonable accommodations requests
Residents with disabilities
Residents with disabilities who require reasonable accommodations for campus housing must register with the Disability Programs and Resource Center (DPRC) as soon as your housing application is completed and submitted to Housing Office. You can access detailed information about registering with the DPRC and requesting reasonable accommodations at http://www.sfsu.edu/~dprc/ or by contacting their office:
Disability Programs & Resource Center
(415)338-2472
SF State Housing will make every effort to meet the reasonable accommodation(s) recommended by DPRC. However, a DPRC reasonable accommodation recommendation will not circumvent the housing waitlist. All applicants are housed on a first come first served basis.
Residents with gender identity/expression
Residents who wish to request special accommodations due to gender identity or gender non-conformity should contact SF State Housing Residential Life as soon as your housing application is completed and submitted to the Housing Office. SF State understands that going through the application can be stressful and confusing for students with issues around gender identity. Residential Life staff will not ask for any more information that is required to meet students' housing needs and all information is strictly confidential. Any questions about the application process can be directed to:
Kevin Kinney
Associate Director of Residential Life
(415)338-2729
SF State Housing will make every effort to honor all reasonable accommodation(s) requests; however, accommodation requests will not circumvent the housing waitlist. All applicants are housed on a first come first served basis.
Any other special accommodation requests should be made to the Housing Office by email at housing@sfsu.edu
