5pm: Swine Flu Vaccination: Local Physicians Voice Concerns
Very soon, millions of doses of flu vaccine to fight the H1N1 flu threat will be in the hands of public health officials, who are preparing to enforce mandates requiring that all children receive the vaccine. But is the swine flu actually a credible threat? Is the vaccine that was hurriedly created to immunize the population entirely safe and effective? A panel of three medical doctors will explore these questions, an internist, a pediatrician—both of whom are skeptics—and a physician from the SF Public Health Dept.
