Requirements
- Windows 7, Vista w/ SP2, or XP w/SP3.
- FireFox 3.6 or later recommended (download FireFox for Windows here) Other browsers that support Java should work but have not been tested.
- Java (download Java for Windows here)
- You must currently be employed as faculty or staff at San Francisco State University.
How to install using Firefox 3
- Log into an administrative account on your PC.
- Start Firefox and navigate to :http://sfsu-vpn.sfsu.edu.

- At the Logon screen, enter your SF State ID in the SF State ID field.
- Enter your SF State Password in the SF State Password field.
- Select FACULTY-STAFF from the drop-down list for Group. Click on Logon.

Client WebLaunch application will run and should:
- Detect the version of Java you have installed.
- Start the Java Installer.
- Note: If there is a problem running Java the installation will fail with a message heading Manual Installation. If this happens click on:

- Windows 7 and Vista users: If asked in a pop-up window, "Do you want to change the color scheme to improve performance?", select Change the color scheme to Windows 7 (or Vista) Basic.
- If prompted "The application's digital signature has been verified. Do you want to run the application?", make certain Always trust content from this publisher is checked, then click on Run.
- Windows 7 and Vista users will be asked to verify continuing the installation, and may be asked to enter an administrative account name and password. Click on Allow or OK to continue the installation.
- Wait while the program installs. You will see a number of windows describing the installation's progress.

- The message "Installation was successful." will be displayed when the installation completes. There will be a Cisco AnyConnect Client icon in the system tray. The icon will display a closed padlock indicating that you have an active VPN connection.

Note: A new window of your default Web browser may cover the "Installation was successful" message.

- To disconnect and exit the AnyConnect client, right-click on the AnyConnect icon in the system tray then select Quit.

How to connect using Firefox 3
- Start Firefox and navigate to: http://sfsu-vpn.sfsu.edu.

- At the Logon screen, enter your SF State ID in the SF State ID field.
- Enter your SF State Password in the SF State Password field.
- Select FACULTY-STAFF from the drop-down list for Group. Click on Logon

- A number of progress messages will be displayed while the connection is being created..
- To disconnect and exit, right-click on the AnyConnect icon in the system tray and select Quit.
