E-mail Account Eligibility Policy
Purpose and Scope
This policy identifies SF State e-mail account eligibility categories for members of the University community.
Eligibility Categories
The following categories of University community members are eligible for free SF State e-mail accounts, except where fee-basis eligibility is indicated.
Faculty
SF State faculty, including emeriti, are identified using the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
Administrators and Staff
SF State administrators and staff are identified using the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
The following auxiliaries may request Internet accounts on a fee basis: Foundation, Associated Students, Student Center and Public Research Institute. Auxiliaries must verify eligible staff each semester and must notify DoIT immediately if a staff member separates from the University.
Students
Matriculated SF State students are identified by the Student Information Management System (SIMS).
