[MPH Program: Prospective Students]
Applications for Fall 2008 are now being accepted!
The application deadline is February 1, 2008. Students are
admitted to begin in the fall only.
A D M I S S I O N P
R E R E Q U I S I T E S
1. Two years of public health related experience
2. Undergraduate coursework in cultural, ethnic &
social diversity (CESD), statistics, and social science or
equivalent
3. Academic excellence (GPA of 3.0 or higher in
the last 60 units of undergraduate coursework)
* Applicants who demonstrate linguistic competence
in English and a second language, in addition to meeting
prerequisites, will be given preference.

Submission of GRE general test scores is strongly
recommended. Scores must be current within the last 5 years. No
subject tests are required. The GRE will NOT be used to exclude
students from the MPH program, but to help with placement of
students in appropriate course levels. Tests are given on specific
dates only. Refer to
http://www.ets.org/gre and click on "test taker", then
"general test" for information.

program and the application/selection procedures. The dates for

Graduate Studies

Step 4 - Notification of Acceptance
Applicants will be notified about the status of their
applications in early Spring. To be admitted to the MPH Program,
applicants must be admitted to the University and the Department.
After a semester of coursework earning a 3.00 grade point average or
better, applicants are officially moved to “classified standing.”
