This
is the group at Samuel P. Taylor State Park, in a very large redwood tree
(Sequoia sempervirens) fire scar. |
|
Here
we are experimenting with the effects of wind on low growing vegetation.
This is at Chimney Rock (coastal prairie) . |
|
Heather
is experiencing what it would be like to be a tree in this community. |
|
This
is what the Douglas iris (Iris douglasiana) clumps look like in
the fall. |
|
The
bishop pine (Pinus muricata) seedlings seem to be doing quite well
along the Skyline trail. The 1995 Mt. Vision fire killed most of the trees
in this area. |
