Spring 2009 Fitness Plus has begun!

Fitness Plus is the fitness, health and wellness program for SFSU faculty, staff members and retirees. Our mission is to improve the health and well-being of SFSU employees and retirees. We provide a variety of fitness, health and wellness opportunities throughout the year, enabling members to live more healthy, balanced and active lives. We strive to create positive and supportive exercise environments that empower positive lifestyle changes.

Interested in improving your fitness, health and overall well-being? Fitness Plus, the fitness, health and wellness program for SFSU faculty, staff, and retirees, can help you achieve your fitness goals. We offer a variety of fitness and wellness activities including cardio-step, boot camp classes, swimming, pilates and yoga. Classes are offered throughout the day. New Classes Added to the Schedule!

Walk/Run Fitness Training with Body Sculpting: MW from 7 am to 8:45 am (walk/run from 7 am to 8 am (meet at the track)/body sculpting from 8 am to 8:45 (meet at the Strength and Conditioning Room - Gym 148))

Advanced Walk/Run MW from 5 pm to 6 pm (Meet at the Track)

Cardio Dance: M from 12 noon to 1 pm in Gym 100C

Yoga: MTWRF from 12 noon to 1 pm in BH 6, MTWR from 7:15 pm to 8:30 pm in Gym 149

Beginning Yoga: TR 8 pm to 9 pm

Total Body Training with Anne: Monday from 12:15 pm to 1:15 pm (meet at the track)

Conditioning Outdoors with Recreational Exercise (aka CORE) with Kara: Thursday from 12 noon to 1 pm (meet at the track)

Cardio Step: MTWR 12 noon to 1 pm, in Gym 100, Annex J; TR 7:15 pm to 8:30 pm, Gym 100J

Pilates with Marni: M (GYM 123), and W (GYM 100, Annex I) from 12 noon to 1 pm

Feldenkrais with Lisa: W 12 noon to 1 pm, Gym 123

Body Sculpting: MW 5 pm to 6 pm, Gym 147

Cardio Boot Camp: MTWR 6 pm to 7 pm, Gym 147

Meditation: TR 6 pm to 7 pm, BH 6

Cardio Strength: MTWR 7 pm to 8 pm, Gym 148

Core: MW 8 pm to 8:30 pm, BH 6

Flexibility: MW 8:30 pm to 9 pm, BH 6

Strength and Conditioning Room (aka weight room): MWF from 12 noon to 1 pm (Gym 148)

Expanded Aquatics Program

Open Swim: MTWR 11:30 am to 8:45 pm, F 1 pm to 5 pm

Aqua Aerobics: MW 12 noon to 1 pm; TR 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm

Aqua Fit: MTWR 4 pm to 5 pm, TR 12 noon to 1 pm

Beginning Swim: MW 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm

 

Wellness coaching is still available. Please sign-up with Ed in the Strength and Conditioning Room.

Until further notice we will not be offering NIA and morning Strength and Conditioning Room hours.

Coming soon: Morning Fitness, Power Walking, and Bay-to-Breakers Training

 

 

Administered by the Department of Kinesiology in the College of Health and Human Services, FitnessPlus also serves as a training program for SFSU students majoring in exercise science, health education, recreation, nursing, and holistic health.
