2013-2014 University Scholarship Winner
"Born and raised in the agriculturally abundant Salinas Valley, I always had big dreams of being able to attend college and make my family and community proud. Along my undergraduate journey I was encouraged by advisors to not limit my educational aspiration and continue on to a post graduate degree. Now, as a second year graduate student in the Master's of Ethnic Studies program, I feel tremendously grateful to be able to continue my education, and once again further my education aspirations as I prepare to apply to doctoral programs this fall."
"I am eternally thankful for the Franam Endowed University Scholarship and the Vincent Costantino University Scholarship for awarding me this generous gift which will support my studies and my ultimate goal of becoming an Ethnic Studies professor."
