2013-2014 University Scholarship Winner
"I am an MA student in the Philosophy department. I graduated from Fordham Law School with a JD in 2009, with a focus on international human rights, and, following a year-long post-graduate fellowship with a women's rights organization in Paris, I decided to pursue a PhD in Philosophy, in order to work on the philosophical foundations of law. I see my work in legal philosophy as part and parcel of my human rights advocacy. I will be applying to PhD programs in Philosophy this fall."
"....Receiving the SFSU University Scholarship affords me the opportunity to fully commit myself to my academic and research work and to prepare a competitive writing sample for my PhD program applications. I have been extremely successful at San Francisco State University, and I owe this success, in no small part, to the support I am receiving as a recipient of the SFSU University Scholarship."
