SFSU TUTORING OPPORTUNITIES
Use your skills to tutor PRESCHOOL TO MIDDLE SCHOOL YOUTH
AND EARN YOUR FEDERAL WORK STUDY $$$ AT THE
SAME TIME
America Reads
- A tutoring program in elementary reading in third grade
classrooms
in 7 elementary schools in San Francisco and Daly City. Must be available to work
between 8AM - 3PM, Monday - Friday. Must enroll in a course in conjunction with employment.
America Counts
- A mathematics tutoring program for middle
school children in community-based tutoring centers in San Francisco.
Must be available to work between 2:45 PM - 6 PM, Monday - Friday.
Gear Up
- A tutoring program geared toward middle school
children to promote and enhance their chance to matriculate into college.
Jumpstart
- An AmeriCorps program that engages SFSU students in
tutoring preschool children in twenty-one San Francisco early childhood centers. Must enroll in a course in conjunction with employment.
