(D 01)Federal Student Loan Default

You have prior federal student loans in a "Default" status, per the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS). Students in default on a federal student loan are not eligible to receive any federal or state financial aid until the default is resolved. Check your default status and the reporting agency or university at www.nslds.ed.gov.
Once your defaulted student loan is resolved submit to our office a letter from the lender or collection agency that states that you are no longer in default on your federal loans. The letter must be on departmental stationery. The letter must include a telephone number and contact person.
