SF State University recently conducted an extensive review of lending institutions to help our students better evaluate the variety of benefits available to them as they borrow money for higher education.

  • This review process took place through the creation of a Request for Information (RFI) which was widely distributed to lenders. Lenders submitted their Request for Proposals (RFP) outlining their services.

  • These proposals were carefully reviewed by the Office of Student Financial Aid at SF State and the results of each proposal were tallied on an individual Lender Scorecard.

  • The most pertinent points of the results of this review have been gathered together in a Lender Chart below, to help you to evaluate borrower benefits and pick the best lender for your educational needs.
