The U.S Department of Education has a Direct Loan Servicer to manage
and collect your Direct Loans. This department will oversee your loan account until your loans are paid in full.
Most communication will be through the mail. Your Direct Loan Servicer
will contact you within at least 30 days after you receive your first
Direct Student Loan check. The Direct Loan Servicer has a toll-free
telephone number for you to call with your questions and concerns about your loan account.
