The following scholarships meet one of three criteria: they are prestigious and will be helpful to you in developing your credentials for a nationally competitive fellowship or CSU award, they are generously funded, or they are offered to a very specific student population.

AIGA Worldstudio Scholarship
Scholarships of $1,000-$3,000 for underrepresented or economically disadvantaged students in art and design.
Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA) Scholarships
AAJA offers scholarships to outstanding undergraduate and graduate students sensitive to issues of importance to Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders and interested in pursuing careers in print, broadcast or photo journalism.
Bar Association of San Francisco Bay Area Minority Law Scholarship
The Bay Area Minority Law Student Scholarship provides financial assistance to qualified students from minority groups underrepresented in Bay Area law schools.
California Bar Foundation Diversity Scholarship
The Diversity Scholarship seeks to support newly admitted law students from groups historically underrepresented in the legal profession who have committed to attending a California law school. Scholarship of up to $7,500 helps pay the costs of the first year of law school.
Chicana/Latina Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships
The Chicana Latina Foundation awards merit-based scholarships to Latina undergraduates, valued at $1,500 each.
CSU: Schoettler Scholarship
Scholarship provides $6,000 to C.S.U. undergraduate and graduate students of any nationality who are legally blind.
Freeman-Asia Scholarship
Freeman-ASIA (Awards for Study in Asia) scholarships support American undergraduates with demonstrated financial need who are planning to study overseas in East or Southeast Asia.
Gilman International Scholarship Program
Scholarships of up to $5,000 are awarded for study abroad for students or disciplines traditionally underrepresented in study abroad programs, or for study abroad outside Western Europe.
Google American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) Scholarship
A $10,000 scholarship for American Indian, Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian AISES students pursuing degrees in computer science, computer engineering, and management information systems.
Google Anita Borg Scholarship
A $10,000 scholarship aimed at encouraging female undergraduate and graduate students to excel in computing and technology, and to become active role models and leaders.
Google Lime Scholarship for Students With Disabilities
A $10,000 scholarship for highly accomplished students with disabilities who are studying computer science or computer engineering.
Google United Negro College Fund Scholarship
A $10,000 scholarship for African American students pursuing undergraduate and graduate degrees in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, and software engineering
Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) Scholarships for Undergraduates
HSF/General College Scholarships of $1,000 to $5,000 are available on a competitive basis to Hispanic undergraduates in any discipline who are pursuing their first graduate degree.
International Rescue Committee (IRC) Sarlo Academic Scholarship
Scholarships of $1,000 to $5,000 are awarded to meet the educational expenses of undergraduate and graduate students who are refugees, asylees, victims of human trafficking, or Iraqi and Afghan recipients of Special Immigrant Visas.
National Women's Studies Association (NWSA) Conference Registration Grants
NWSA Conference Registration grants are offered to presenters in need financial assistance to attend the conference.
SF State Wang Family Scholarship
Upper division undergraduates and graduate students who will study aboad in China or Taiwan may apply through the Office of International Programs for this $4,000 scholarship.
Ten Thousand Degrees Child Care Scholarships
10,000 Degrees administers child care scholarships ranging from $500 to $9,000 per child for student-parents who residents of Marin County and enrolled in college.
Ten Thousand Degrees New Leader Scholarship
The New Leader Scholarship provides $8,000 in aid to extraordinary upper division undergraduates or graduate students in Bay Area public universities who are from disadvantaged backgrounds and pursuing or planning to pursue advanced education in the social sciences, human services, health-related fields, public interest law or public service.
