Nikica Favretto, Civil Engineering undergraduate


Nik lived in Croatia, Italy, and Bosnia before coming to the San Francisco Bay Area, and had more than 10 years of international construction management and civil engineering design experience before joining the graduate program in Structural/Earthquake Engineering at San Francisco State University.  His master’s research project, under the mentorship of Prof. Cheng Chen, focused on the reliability of Steel Plate Shear Walls.  He intends to pursue Ph.D. studies in Structural/ Earthquake Engineering. In his free time he explores the city a camera to photograph the social and architectural changes of the urban environment.


Update:  Nik is a lecturer at SF State and in 2012 joined FTF Engineering as a Project Engineer.
