Nicole Chaffee, Chemistry graduate student
Nicole, a California native, is the first person in her family to attend college. She attended the University of California, Davis where she obtained a bachelor’s of science degree in Biochemistry in 2010. Currently a second year master’s student in Biochemistry, her master’s level research focuses on the isolation, purification and identification of chemotherapeutics derived from marine bacteria. She has been accepted for doctoral studies at U.C. Davis in Chemistry, with an emphasis on pharmacological compound identification and their applications.
