Program Description
America's only graduate-only, research-extensive university, CGU offers a doctoral scholarship for interdisciplinary/transdisciplinary study in any of its nine graduate schools: Arts and Humanities, Behavioral and Organizational Sciences, Community and Global Health Educational Sciences, Information Systems and Technology, Management, Mathematical Sciences, Politics and Economics, and Religion. CGU is one of the Claremont Colleges, a consortium built on the Oxford model that The Fiske Guide has called "the most extraordinary assemblage of educational excellence in the nation."
Benefits
Recipients receive full tuition for a maximum of four years.
Applicant Profile
Successful applicants will have performed at the highest levels academically and carried out "innovative research that cuts across disciplines." Applicant must be nominated by a faculty member at her or his institution.
Eligibility
Graduating seniors or graduating master's students. Master's students must have received both undergraduate and graduate degrees in the U.S.
Citizenship
Students of any nationality who have graduated from a U.S. institution.
Deadline
Usually early December.
