Please consult the program website to confirm program details, including applicable deadlines.
The ASW Summer Internship Program promotes, educates, and encourages young women to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. One of the premiere opportunities in Washington, D.C. for young women in STEM fields, the program currently focuses on attracting outstanding female undergraduates who are members of groups underrepresented in these fields.
During the 10-week summer work experience program, interns explore and develop skills that can be applied across all STEM disciplines. Specific program activities include publishing or contributing to the Washington Wire and AWIS Magazine, developing content for the AWIS website, advocacy and representation at Capitol Hill Briefings.
Program provides a $3,500 stipend for the 10-week summer internship.
Female undergraduates of African American, Latina, Native American, or Pacific Islander descent in a STEM field.
