Program Website

The Alliance for Graduate Education and the Professoriate (AGEP) joins together universities and colleges in the common mission of increasing the number of underrepresented minority students earning PhDs, and positioning minority students to become leaders in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields. This site provides a search engine that allows you to search for AGEP programs – which range from summer research opportunities for undergraduates to graduate-level research opportunities – by academic institution, by region, or by "alliance." AGEP "alliances" are clusters of institutions that focus on bringing underrepresented students into certain fields – such as "social, behavioral, and economic sciences" – or that emphasize certain student populations – such as American Indians. If you will apply to an AGEP Program, please contact S.F. State's Fellowship Advisor, Dr. Joy Viveros, jviveros@sfsu.edu,, as it is likely that the Fellowships Office would provide feedback on your application materials.
