NWSA Graduate Scholarships in Lesbian Studies This award provides financial assistance to graduate students doing Master's thesis or Ph.D. dissertation research in lesbian studies. Students do not need to be enrolled in a women's studies program. Preference is given to candidates who are National Women's Studies Association (NWSA) members. The scholarship amount is $500 per year. The deadline is February 15 of each year. The National Women's Studies Association leads the field of women's studies in educational and social transformation and is dedicated to teaching, research, and service in women's studies and gender studies. NWSA awards $1,000 to a student who, in the fall of the year of the award, will be engaged in the research or writing stages of a master's thesis or PhD dissertation. The research project must be on women enhance the NWSA mission. Graduate students who are U.S. citizens and in the thesis/dissertation writing stage are eligible to apply. Deadline is usually in the Spring.
