Environmental Protection Agency—Science to Achieve Results (STAR) Fellowship
Brittany Huntington began her master’s studies in biology at S.F. State with her own funding from the EPA STAR Fellowship Program. Her research in aquatic systems ecology examined the “effects of the microalgae Gracilaria sjoestedtii on eelgrass, which is critical to herring spawning in Tomales Bay.”
Brittany has gone on to study for a doctorate in marine biology and fisheries at the University of Miami’s Rosenstiel School, one of the world's premier institutions in marine and atmospheric science.
