Program Purpose
This NASA Scholarship Program is designed to enhance the state of aeurautics for the nation.
Program Description and Benefits
The Program provides scholarship opportunities to attract highly motivated undergraduate and graduate students to aeronautics and related fields. Approximately 20 two-year scholarships of up to $15,000 may be awarded for the junior and senior years, to be used for education-related expenses. Scholars will be provided a summer internship at a NASA Research Center between the junior and senior years, with a stipend of up to $10,000.
Supported Fields
The Program's focus is on cutting-edge, fundamental research in traditional aeronautical disciplines, as well as emerging fields with promising application to aeronautics. Supported fields in engineering are: aeronautical and aerospace, chemical engineering, civil engineering, computer engineering, electrical and electronic, energy, engineering mechanics, engineering science, industrial engineering, materials engineering, mechanical engineering, metallurgical engineering, polymer engineering, systems engineering. Additional supported fields are: mathematics, computer science, physics.
Eligibility
Desired applicants will be sophomores in an eligible field; juniors in an eligible field are also eligible to apply.
Citizenship
U.S. citizens only.
Deadline
