Ray Black, A.B.D.

Ray Black teaches literature, art, humanities and composition courses. He has written on Spike Lee and Bill Cosby in addition to book reviews for The Black Scholar. His research interests are slave narratives, African American and Nineteenth Century American literature and is currently completing a dissertation on William Wells Brown's place in African American literature for the department of English at the University of Chicago.
