Cesar
Chavez Student Center
Fresh
from a major renovation, the Cesar Chavez Student Center is
our campus hub. It teems with activity from morning to night.
The main entrance is through the Malcolm X Plaza, a popular
venue for live music, ethnic celebrations, and political soap-boxing.
Before you go inside, check out the dramatic portraits of the
late labor leader Cesar Chavez, after whom the center is named,
and Malcolm X, on the right wall as you face the entrance. You'll
enter at the Plaza Level, where you'll find our newly remodeled
and expanded SFSU Bookstore, as well as a variety of restaurants
serving cuisine from around the world.
Aside from the murals at the Malcom X Plaza, featured art and
cultural exhibits by both students and non students are displayed
year round. They may be viewed on all levels of the Student
Center.
Some AERC activities are going to be held at the Terrace Level
of the Student Center On this level, is the multifunction Jack
Adams Hall; the Richard Oakes Multicultural Center, and the
Rosa Parks Hall. |
