Adaptive Software for Macs
There are no adaptive software packages provided by the DPRC for the Mac Operating Systems, other than Kurzweil 3000. Intel Macs are capable of running Windows using Boot Camp and this is acceptable for adaptive software, as long as assistance is provided to students in switching from OS X to Windows.

Browsers supported by Adaptive Software
Internet Explorer (Windows only)
Internet Explorer is the preferred browser of choice for screen readers such as JAWS. In addition, Kurzweil 3000 provides a toolbar that can be used with Internet Explorer to read the web.
Firefox (Mac and Windows)
Kurzweil 3000 also provides a toolbar that can be used with Firefox to read the web. A number of web accessibility toolbars can be used with Firefox as well.
