Video Magnifiers
A video magnifier system uses a stand-mounted or a handheld video camera to project a magnified image onto a video monitor, a television screen, or a computer monitor. Students interested in these products should schedule an appointment with a DPRC specialist at 415 338-2472.

Portable Magnifiers
The DPRC has two portable magnifiers that is available to eligible students.
Clarity Classmate

The Clarity Classmate is a portable video magnifier designed for use by people with low vision. This device enables a user to read text, view a whiteboard/blackboard in a classroom. The Classmate's rotating camera design has built-in auto focus, variable contrast control, and can provide magnification from 4x to 60x. The image display can be viewed in full color or in white on black. The device can be connected to a television monitor or head mounted glasses. In addition, the DPRC has the following accessories for the Clarity Classmate
- Head mounted glasses
- Battery pack
- Carrying case
