Textbooks and Course Readers

Finding or creating an accessible textbook or converting course packets of photocopies to an accessible format can be terribly time-consuming. In order to manage the glut and provide equal timely access, students need the cooperation of faculty and the DPRC.

Challenge:

Provide an alternative format to printed textbooks and Course Readers that are readable to screenreading technology.

Solution:

Submit orders to the Bookstore by the Provost's deadline to allow sufficient time for ACCESS Support Team specialists to obtain electronic copies and modify them as needed.

Further Guidance:

Contact an ACCESS Support Team specialist at the DPRC or trained specialist in your department to discuss unique circumstances. Check out these self-guided training resources: Tutorials, Quick Guides
