  • Summer 2009: Launch redesign of ACCESS website with updated resources

SF State ACCESS Accomplishments

Spring 2009:

  • Trainings offered on accessible E&IT procurement to campus community technical advisors
  • Educational outreach provided on web accessibility to developers of critical administrative websites

Winter 2009: 

  • Training offered at university retreat on accessible instructional materials
  • Training offered at university retreat on accessible E&IT procurement

Fall 2008:

Summer 2008:

  • Trainings offered on accessible E&IT procurement to campus technical advisors
  • Trainings offered on instructional materials accessibility targeting new faculty and faculty of new courses at the New Faculty Orientation

Summer 2008:

  • Expanded ACCESS Support Team in the DPRC to include a Disability Access Compliance Analyst and an Accessible Technology Training Consultant

Spring 2008:

Fall 2006:

  • SF State President Robert A. Corrigan assembled and charged the university’s first ever President’s Task Force on Accessible Electronic and Information Technology

Instructional Materials

  • Now: Timely identification and delivery of accessible materials, such as textbooks and course packs
  • Now: Instructional materials and websites for new course offerings are accessible, (content of existing course offerings will be made accessible at the point of course redesign or when a student with a disability enrolls in the course)
  • Fall 2012: Instructional materials and websites for all course offerings are accessible

Web Accessibility

  • Now: All new and significantly redesigned administrative websites and content must be accessible
  • February 15, 2010: All administrative websites critical to institutional success are accessible, including college and academic department sites
  • Spring 2012: All university websites, services and content are accessible

Accessible Electronic and Information Technology (E&IT) Procurement

  • Now: All E&IT acquisitions at or exceeding $15,000 vetted for compliance with 508 accessibility standards
