IT Policy & Planning
The mission of the Office of IT Policy & Planning (ITPP) in the Division of Information Technology (DoIT) is to insure that SF State has an appropriate and effective IT operating and planning framework that will enable departments and colleges to have technology services and solutions of the highest quality, value, and professionalism.
Through collaborative partnerships with DoIT and other campus stakeholders, the ITPP has responsibility for research, analysis and evaluation of best practices, plus standards and deliverables in the following areas within IT:
- Policies that govern use;
- Procedures that reflect best practices and the needs of the SF State environment;
- Documentation of systems, programs, the SF State Web, change control, and quality assurance testing;
- Service level agreements;
- Business continuity plans;
- Project management methodology; and
- Internal DoIT communications and technology communications to the campus community.
