Course Guides and Sample Files

The DoIT Training Center offer's a wide range of courses covering many aspects in computing. Included are courses in visual presentations, Web site development, computer graphics, desktop publishing, Web animation, data analysis, spreadsheets, and word processing.

 

 


How to download course sample files

You may download course sample filess. We recommend that you download the files to your computer desktop. The Windows course sample files are contained in a self-extracting executable (.exe ) file. The Macintosh sample files are contained in a ZIP archive. After downloading the ZIP archive, you will need to unzip them. This will create a folder on your computer containing all of the sample files used for the inidividual course.

Windows Users

Firefox

  1. Click the Files link for the sample files you wish to download. Firefox will prompt you to Save the file.
  2. Click the Save button. The file with a ".exe" extension will saved.
  3. Once it is downloaded to your computer, double-click on the .exe file. A folder will be created that will contain the sample files for the course.

Internet Explorer

  1. Click the Files link for the sample files you wish to download. Internet Explorer will prompt you to Run or Save the file.
  2. Click the Save button. Make sure that you save the file on your computer's desktop.
  3. Once it is downloaded to your computer, double-click on the .exe file. A folder will be created that will contain the sample files for the course.

Macintosh Users

Safari

  1. Click the Files link for the sample files you wish to download.
  2. The file should automatically unzip on your desktop and a folder will be created that will contain the sample files for the course.

Firefox

  1. Click the Files link for the sample files you wish to download. Firefox should prompt you to Save the file.
  2. Click the Save button. The file with a ".zip" extension will be saved.
  3. Once it is downloaded to your computer, double-click the downloaded .zip file. A folder will be created that will contain the sample files for the course.
