Student and Faculty Support – Scholarships and Targeted Funds
Create a highly visible link between your company and the continuing achievements of a SF State program through term-based or ongoing student scholarships; academic, clinical, and other pre-professional education funds; research funds; targeted student and faculty fellowships.
Alumni entrepreneurs are particularly encouraged to call and explore creative approaches of supporting SF State at no initial expense, but with an inspired level of generosity and vision. Such arrangements might include the inclusion of SF State or one of its colleges, departments, or programs in shareholder agreements, giving pre-i.p.o stock, or identification as a B-Corporation beneficiary. You will position your alma mater in a way that is exponentially stronger – for its future and for the future of those we serve.
Sponsorships
Achieve prominent recognition among our large student, faculty, and staff, along with the Bay Area community at large, by sponsoring career fairs and seminars, student and continuing education workshops, scientific symposia and community forums on a wide range of timely topics that are coordinated by SF State throughout the year. Many public events are held at the University’s high-profile Downtown Center campus in San Francisco, the home of our MBA and continuing education programs. Almost all events are highlighted in monthly electronic and hardcopy publications with a circulation of over 100,000 alumni, parents and friends.
Entrepreneurship Education
The Ohrenschall Center for Entrepreneurship (OCE) at the SF State College of Business (CoB) collaborates closely with SF State’s Student Association of Entrepreneurs. It coordinates students, faculty and industry leaders to offer focused workshops on entrepreneurial strategies, marketplace resources and business skills.
Corporate sponsors of OCE activities are particularly well positioned to enhance their competitive advantage among faculty and students – potential clients and employees. Sponsors and other business partners often provide featured speakers from among their own leading entrepreneurs and executives. For additional information, visit the Center’s website at http://www.sfsu.edu/~cfe/ or contact CoB’s College Relations Officer Alex Sanchez at 415/338-1032 or alexsan@sfsu.edu.
Equipment and Software Donations
Increase the visibility of your company and products among SF State’s students and faculty by donating much needed equipment such as computers, scientific instruments, health and medical equipment for nurse education and other clinical training, laboratory supplies and software.
Facility Upgrade Funds
Enhance your company’s identity as an industry leader by partnering with SF State to help enhance facilities for optimal effectiveness and relevance in the many areas where the University excels such as broadcast journalism, electronic arts, analog engineering, information technology, bioscience and chemistry, health and fitness education, clinical nurse training, hospitality management, and many others. State funding for capital improvements is now very rare. Options to permanently name research, education, and campus community facilities are available.
Matching Gifts
Support employee giving with a matching gifts program. Matching gifts enhance employee morale by strengthening a spirit of community within your corporate culture.
