Assisted Listening Devices

Assisted listening devices are available in each of the classrooms and computer labs on both 5th and 6th floor. Request for assisted listening devices can be made through DTC Conference Rentals.
Check out instructions:

Students must have a valid SFSU ID card.

Please go to the reception desk to request the assisted listening devices.

Reception personnel will call Central Ops to have the devices delivered.

Student must submit the following: Name, SFSU ID#, Class, and Room#.

Please check all the contents are in the bag before leaving for your class.
(Contents: FM transmitter, FM receiver, Ear piece, Neck loop, and Microphone piece)
· Please return all the components in the bag when you are done and handed to your instructor. The instructor must call Central Ops at (415) 817-4398 (courtesy phones are located on each of the floors) to pickup the devices. (Contents: FM transmitter, FM receiver, Ear piece, Neck loop, and Microphone piece)
Assisted Listening Device Instructions:

Turn on the FM transmitter and the FM receiver

Make sure the band frequency is set to the same band on both the transmitter and the receiver. (To change the band, scroll the up or down arrow button to the desire band frequency.)

Clip the mic piece around you and make sure is connected to the FM transmitter.

Have the student place the earpiece over the ear and make sure is connected to the FM receiver.

Please turn off the FM transmitter and the FM receiver when done.
