College of Business Degree Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Business Administration

The College of Business, accredited by the AACSB, with approximately 4,800 undergraduates, 900 graduate students and over 230 faculty and staff, is the largest major and College at SFSU.

A B.S. in Business Administration requires a minimum of 120 units for graduation. Those units consists of 48 units in General Education, 9 units of additional graduation requirements, 42 units of required business core courses, and 21-24 units of business concentration courses.

 
General Education 48 Units
The G.E. Requirements consists of 12 units of Seg I, 27 units of Seg II, and 9 units of Seg III.
Additional Graduation Requirements 9 Units
These unit requirements consists of 6 units for the U.S. History and Government and 3 units for an additional English course that is not used in the G.E. Segment I above.
Business Core 42 Units
These units are the foundation courses that all business majors need to complete to receive a degree in business. These courses prepare the student for any business field.
Business Concentration 21-24 Units
These are the specific areas of specialization that are studied in the business degree. The areas are called concentrations and make up the functional areas of business. There are 11 concentrations to choose from, the most in the CSU system.
