Chinese ABC I (基础汉语1) is designed for students without previous Chinese training, covering basic pronunciation, sentence patterns, reading, writing, conversation and grammar. Students will learn to communicate with native speakers and lay a solid foundation for further studies.

Chinese ABC II (基础汉语2) is designed for students with one-semester learning experience to advance their basic communicative skill toward intermediate level studies in pronunciation sentences patterns, reading, writing, conversation and grammar. Students will gain more skills in daily communication with native speakers.

Office Chinese (办公/商务汉语) is an elementary-intermediate level workshop, designed for Chinese learners who have one semester learning experience. Students will learn frequently used business terms and sentence patterns with an emphasis on listening and speaking in an office setting.
Wednesdays 18:30-20:30 Classroom: HUM 501
Follow Me (跟我学汉语) is designed for Elementary/Middle School students. Students will learn the authentic Mandarin pronunciation and daily conversation under active teaching methods.
Thursdays 18:30-20:30 Classroom: HUM 501
Online Chinese (网络汉语) is only offered by Confucius Institute. This workshop is designed for those students who need flexible schedule to learn Chinese. Students may learn Chinese via Internet at anytime and anywhere. “Chang Cheng Han Yu”, the textbook used for this course, is designed by Hanban, which is also an elaborate online teaching material for Chinese learners.
