The Confucius Institute at SF State has invited Beijing Normal University Student Arts Troupe to present two Chinese Culture & Arts Performances in the San Francisco Bay Area to celebrate the Chinese Spring Festival of the Year of Tiger in February 2010. The troupe consists of 23 artists who will travel to Oklahoma and then to San Francisco.
Our Institute believes that the Troupe’s wonderful performances will help bridge east and west cultures and further develop the friendship between our two countries. We hope that their performances will enrich our University community and increase our knowledge and awareness of Chinese language and culture.
BNU Students Art Troupe is famous in China and has performed in many foreign countries as well, attracting thousands to their performances. To perform for San Francisco communities, they will present their most colorful cultural and artistic pieces, including Chinese folk songs and dances, Peking Opera, Chinese Kongfu/Wushu show, playing Chinese traditional instruments as well as selections of modern music.
Beijing Normal University Student Arts Troupe Performances in San Francisco Bay Area are sponsored by the Office of Chinese Language Council International (Hanban).
