The 13th Chinese Language Bridge Cup Contest Greatly
Promoted Chinese Language and Culture Learning in Northern California

March 18 & 19, 2017.

The Chinese Language Bridge Cup Contest, jointly organized by the Confucius Institute at San Francisco State University (SF State) and San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD), sponsored by Hanban/Confucius Institute Headquarters and Education Office of the Consulate General of the P.R. China, is celebrating its 13th anniversary by offering more exciting events in larger scales.

The contest was held at Theodore Roosevelt Middle School this year with nearly 1000 participants coming and demonstrating their talent and achievements in learning Chinese language and culture with help from their teachers and parents. All participating students from 164 day-time schools and 80 after-school programs/ Chinese schools across Northern California were attracted to this great annual event and made it a great success.

On March 18, 650 contestants competed four contests in Chinese Brush Calligraphy, Pen Calligraphy, Painting/drawing and Chinese Composition. On March 19, 341 contestants took part in Poetry Recital contest, which is divided into Mandarin and Cantonese groups for both heritage and non-heritage speakers. (photo 1, 2, 3)

More than 70 students, teachers and parents from and beyond SF State came to volunteer and support for this great event, making the contest a big success.

After 13 years development, the CLBCC has become a well-established brand-program of Confucius Institute at SF State and has witnessed its growing popularity among the K-12 students in Northern California and in the USA as a whole.

第十三届汉语桥杯中小学生比赛成功举办

2017年 3月18日至19日,由中国驻旧金山总领馆与国家汉办赞助、旧金山州立大学孔子学院与旧金山联合学区共同举办的第十三届“汉语桥杯”比赛在旧金山罗斯福中学(Theodore Roosevelt Middle School )成功举行。本次比赛共设有毛笔书法、硬笔书法、绘画、作文以及诗歌朗诵等五个项目,分为K、1-2、3-5、6-8、9-12等五个年级组分别进行,吸引了各级各类学校近1000名学生参加,遍及了整个旧金山湾区及其他北加州县市。

3月18日全天举行了毛笔书法、硬笔书法、绘画与作文四项比赛,当天共650人参赛.上午毛笔与硬笔书法比赛同时进行,参赛选手们经过长时间的精心准备与期待,在赛场专心致志地完成自己的书法作品,力求展示自己的最佳水平!

绘画比赛选手们根据自己年级组的指定主题,用自己独特的理解和天马行空的想象,用画笔来展现自己的内心世界。

下午举行的作文比赛也同样吸引了不少人参赛,三个年级组的主题分别是“一份礼物”、“我最喜欢的中文书”与“多元文化与高科技”。选手们在赛场上专心致志、奋笔疾书,力争展现自己的写作功底。

3月19日下午举行了中文诗歌朗诵比赛,近350人报名参赛,比赛现场还有不少要求现场报名参赛的选手,学生们的参与积极性空前踊跃。根据旧金山地区中文教学特点,朗诵比赛分为普通话母语组、普通话非母语组、广东话母语组以及广东话非母语组四个组别。每位参赛选手需朗诵一首大赛组委会指定诗歌和一首自选诗歌。选手们的自选诗歌也是多种多样,诸如《木兰诗》、《长恨歌》、《假如给我三天光明》、《差一点儿》等。赛场上竞争相当激烈,选手们声情并茂,有的慷慨激昂、热情澎湃,有的闲适洒脱、惬意悠然,有的落落大方、温婉深情。参赛选手们字正腔圆的发音和饱含深情的朗诵博得阵阵喝彩。

汉语桥杯比赛至今已经十三载,旧金山州大孔院十年如一日地为旧金山湾区中小学生提供展示自己中文水平的机会,致力于激发当地学生们学习中文的兴趣与热情,让更多的学生在快乐中学习中文与中国文化。本届“汉语桥杯”比赛受到了各方的支持、赞赏与关注,当地媒体也来到现场进行采访。不少学生家长表示非常感谢孔子学院举办这样的比赛,给孩子们一个学习中文、展示自己的绝佳的机会与平台;同时也表示会继续鼓励孩子学习中文,争取明年以更好的姿态再次参加比赛!
