Confucius Institute at San Francisco State University

San Francisco, April 4.

       The Preliminary Contests of 2015 Chinese Bridge Chinese Proficiency Competition for World College/Secondary School Students in Northern California was successfully held at HUM 133 by Confucius Institute at San Francisco State University. 28 students from UC Berkeley, SF State, CSU East Bay, Diablo Valley College and Aragon High School competed in this year’s competition. After exciting competition in speech, knowledge about China and talent show, 3 winners took the first, second and third place; together with students winning best talent, best eloquence and best performance. The champion of college group is Ishan Paranjpe from UC Berkeley. Hannah Koury from Aragon High School won the champion of secondary school group. The competition this year showcased the fruitful Chinese teaching from schools of different levels: University of California, California State University and Community College. We felt grateful to the general support from Hanban/Confucius Institute Headquarters and Education Office of Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in San Francisco.
