Events which are available to contest applicants.
- The competition will be held at Marina Middle School at 3500 Fillmore Street, San Francisco, CA 94123
- Participants will be placed in the grade division based on their daytime school grade assignment.
- There will be 1 champion and 2 runner-ups plus a few honorable mentions awarded for each event per group. Champions and runner-ups will receive trophies, certificates, and gifts. Honorable mentions will receive certificates.
- Each participant may sign up for three events maximum.
- Participants may only register for one recital contest (Mandarin or Cantonese).
- Poetry Recital event is divided into "native speaker" and "non-native speaker" for both Cantonese and Mandarin competitions. Students who come for the second section will be notified in advance.
- Only on-line application, mailing, or drop-in can be accepted. Fax and Email applications are considered invalid. Please apply online at http://www.sfsu.edu/~ci You may complete the application form, mail or deliver it to: Confucius Institute at San Francisco State University, 1600 Holloway Avenue, Burk Hall 325, San Francisco, CA 94132; Application must be received by the deadline of February 4, 2011. - Participants will receive confirmation by email or letter by 02/14/2011. If you do not hear by 02/14/2011, please contact CI at SFSU at (415) 338-7631.
