Workshops

In addition to tutorial sessions, CARP offers a variety of workshops for SF State students. There are two main types of workshops.

    Upcoming Workshops :

  • Math 60/70 Note-Taking Strategies Workshop
  • Math 60/70 Time Manangement and Self-Care Workshop

  • Study Skill Workshops:

Offered at our tutorial center and throughout campus, these interactive workshops introduce SF State students to skills that they will use throughout their academic careers. Popular workshops have included “Scholarship Essay Writing,” “Resume and Cover Letter Writing,” and “Time Management.” All current SF State students are welcome to attend these workshops, but space is limited, and you are encouraged to sign up in advance. To see which workshops we will be offering this semester, please visit the "Calendar" section of the CARP website or contact carp.wrss@gmail.com. If you are a student and want to attend one of the Study Skills Workshops we are offering, you can sign up Monday to Thursday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, or Fridays, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

    In-Class Workshops:

CARP also collaborates with faculty members and professors to present workshops in various classes. Faculty members and professors can select from CARP’s “Workshop Catalog” or request a brand new workshop, built from scratch. In either case, CARP tailors the workshop to meet faculty and professors’ expectations as well as the need of the students in the course. To view the “Workshop Catalog”, please visit the link below. If you are a faculty member or professor interested in having CARP present an In-Class Workshop in your course, please visit the "Faculty Resources" page for information about the request process.
