Scholarship Writing Workshop
Time: 4:15pm - 5:45pm Location: TA2 (North of Thornton Hall) Description: This workshop prompts students to think about the way they represent themselves and their personal narratives in scholarship application essays. Sample prompts and essays are reviewed, and there is time to write and receive constructive feedback from CARP tutors. This workshop focuses on writing scholarship essays, not about how to find a scholarship. Students interested in finding a scholarship can reference Financial Aid's helpful resources (http://www.sfsu.edu/~finaid/scholarships/) or attend one of their "Scholarship 101" workshops (see website). To sign up for the Scholarship Writing workshop, please bring your SF state ID to HSS 346 before the time listed above.

"What is Plagiarism?" Workshop
Time: 4:15pm - 5:45pm Location: HSS 302 Description: In addition to review SF State's official rules, this workshop helps students understand the different types of mistakes that lead to plagiarism. Because not all plagiarism is intentional, the workshop seeks to clarify the grey areas and provide research strategies that will prevent accidental plagiarism from the start of the writing process. To sign up for this workshop, please bring your SF state ID to HSS 346 before the time listed above.
