SFSU
is primarily an urban-based commuter campus; so
parking is extremely limited.
The Career Center encourages you to use our special
employer shuttle van service or mass
transit. We also strongly recommend
that you ship your materials to the Career Center
prior to the event.
Shipping Displays &
Materials
Whether you arrive by car or mass transit, we
encourage you to ship your displays and handout
materials in advance. For security reasons, the
University x-rays packages. Therefore, arrange
for them to arrive early.
Be
sure the address label includes the name
of the event, and the following information:
< Event Name >
Attn: Career Center SSB 206
San Francisco State University
1600 Holloway Ave
San Francisco, CA 94132
Bring along a 'return shipping' label(s) for items
you want returned to your office. The Career Center
will ship them out on the next business day.
IF YOU DRIVE:
Career Center’s Shuttle Van Service
A special employer parking lot and a dedicated
shuttle van will be provided for your use.
Parking will be available in the Lake Merced lot.
For directions to the special shuttle parking
lot (it is NOT part of the main campus), click
here.
Schedule
The shuttle will transport employers between
the Lake Merced parking lot and the event location
every 15-20 minutes. The shuttle will begin
service two hours before the event. Be sure
to arrive early to allow enough time for set-up
at the event site. The shuttle service will
resume service at the end of the event and continue
for one hour.
Loading and Unloading
If you use the shuttle, student workers will
be available to help you unload and load your
car, as well as transport your materials to
and from the event site. This service alone
should convince you to use the shuttle!
Public
Parking Garage Information
If you decide to drive to campus and park in the
Public Parking Garage, click
here for directions to campus.
In the parking garage, you will have to HUNT for
a parking spot along with the students. Be advised
that the garage fills up early in the morning
(often by 10 a.m.).
After parking your car, be sure to go to one of
the many permit vending machines on each floor
that dispenses parking permits. Parking permits
cost $1 per hour up to a maximum of $5.00. The
machines will take only $1 bills or quarters and
do not return change. Before leaving the parking
garage, be sure to place the permit on your car’s
dashboard so it can be easily read. For more information,

The Career Center is unable to waive parking
violations (even for our employers).
