Code of Conduct
By attending any Career Event, you understand that you are a guest of the sponsoring organizations and agree to abide by the following guidelines. During a career event, appropriate and inappropriate behavior includes but is not limited to:
Appropriate Behavior
- Wearing professional or business casual attire
- Conducting oneself in a professional and business-like manner
- Lining up and waiting your turn when the sponsoring organization is busy
- Limiting the number of questions and your time with the sponsoring organizations (Follow up with each organization later for more detailed information.)
- Speaking at a respectful, conversational level with sponsoring organizations attending the event
- Turning off your cell phone or switching to silent mode
Inappropriate Behavior
- Smoking, drinking or eating
- Using or acting under the influence of drugs or alcohol
- "Trolling" for merchandise
- Blocking aisles (This limits free access to organizations by other guests, restricts access by guests with disabilities, and creates a safety hazard in the event of an emergency.)
- Shouting or chanting (This interferes with normal conversation levels between guests and sponsors.)
- Stomping of feet, etc.
- Using any form of amplified or manufactured sound including:
- Bullhorns or megaphones
- Bells
- Drums
- Horns or whistles
