Alumni Services
Recent SF State Alumni
Recent SF State alumni have a six (6) month grace period following graduation, without charge, to use all of the Career Center services, including on-campus interviewing and career counseling sessions with a career counselor.
After the six month grace period, alumni must either join the Alumni Association or obtain Career Center Membership to continue utilizing basic career services, and may then purchase a Career Counseling Package to make career counseling appointments (see Service Packages).
Alumni Association Members
Members of the SF State and CSU Alumni Association automatically receive a Career Center Membership (a $25.00 value). SF State Alumni Association members may purchase a Career Counseling Package to make career counseling appointments (see Service Packages).
Any SF State alumni may join the SF State Alumni Association. In addition to Career Center services, there are many benefits.

Alumni of SF State who are not a member of the SF State Alumni Association may utilize basic Career Center services by obtaining Career Center Membership, and may then purchase a Career Counseling Package to make career counseling appointments (see Service Packages).
Alumni of Other Schools
Being that the SF State Career Center is a student service, Career Center services are not available to the non-SF State community. Alumni of non-SF State educational institutions, students from the College of Extended Learning and American Language Institute, as well as members of the community are not eligible to access SF State Career Center Services.
Alumni of Other CSUs:
Due to budget restrictions, alumni from other CSU campuses are not eligible for Career Center services.
Students of Other CSUs:
Currently enrolled students from CSUs other than SF State are eligible for Career Center services, and do not need to purchase a Membership. Such students must present both of the following:
- Letter of reciprocity from their institution's career center
- Valid (current) student ID
