IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Windows 7

Windows 7 is now available for installation.

NOTES:
1. Upgrading from Windows XP requires a clean install, which means your hard drive will be erased, so you'll need to back up your files & email, and all programs will need to be re-installed.
2. Upgrading from Vista will keep your files & programs intact.
3. Windows 7 does not include Outlook Express/Windows Mail, so if you use that you'll need to switch to another email program.
4. Not compatible with the versions of SAS & SPSS currently availble from SFSU.

Using SAS with Windows 7

There are no current plans to add support for Windows 7 for SAS 9.1.3 Service Pack 4.
Mainstream support for Windows 7 is projected to be available with the release of SAS 9.21 in the first half of 2010.

Using SAS with Windows Vista

SAS 9.1.3 SP4 for Windows Vista is now available at SFSU. This version supports the following Windows Vista 32-bit editions only:

Windows Vista Business
Windows Vista Enterprise - available only to Microsoft Enterprise Agreement customers
Windows Vista Ultimate

SAS 9.1.3 SP4 does NOT support Windows Vista Home Premium, Windows Vista Home Basic, & Windows Vista 64-bit editions at this time.

Mac OS 10.6 (Snow Leopard)

Snow Leopard is now available for installation.

NOTES:
1. Requires a Mac with an Intel processor.
2. Not compatible with the version of SPSS currently available from SFSU.

Computing Support Request Forms

Technical Support - Report a problem with your SFSU-purchased desktop or notebook computer, and peripherals (monitor, printer, etc.)

Software - Request licensed software for your desktop or notebook computer. (NOTE: Some site-licensed software can only be installed on university-owned computers. See the list of SFSU site licenses for details.)

Printer Cartridge - Request a cartridge for your printer.

Equipment Checkout Form

Checkout a notebook PC or LCD projector for classroom or other business-related use. (for pickup only - no delivery)

Business Computing Lab Request Forms

Schedule class visits in the Business Computing Lab (Rooms A & C only)

Reserve BUS 214 or BUS 219 for classes.

Request that software be installed in the Business Computing Lab. (See a list of current software in lab.)
